Antique Chinese Stone Mortar with Preserved Moss | Zen Garden Planter | circa 1950s

Old Stone Garlic Mortar. Origin : Shandong Provence Circa 1950’s

Originally used to crush garlic and herbs. We repurpose these as planters or create zen gardens with moss. They are hand chiselled and each one is unique and vary in size. They can also be used as a vessel for burning smudge sticks.
