Cyclamen persicum 'Rose Silver' (Florist's Cyclamen) – Autumn Winter Bedding Plant (12 x 9cm Pots)

Rose Silver cyclamen give autumn and winter colour in pots, baskets and window boxes, with rose and silver bicolour flowers above deep green, silver-marbled leaves. This is the florist's cyclamen, Cyclamen persicum, a compact winter bedding plant for a sheltered spot.

It flowers from autumn through the colder months and keeps its marbled, heart-shaped foliage between flushes of flowers. It suits partial shade and does well at the front of a sheltered border, in a patio container or in a hanging basket.

You receive 12 plants, each in its own 9cm pot. Plant them out in containers or the front of a border in a spot sheltered from cold wind. This cyclamen is not fully hardy: it will take a light frost in a sheltered pot, but a hard or prolonged frost will kill it, so treat it as one season of autumn and winter colour.

Keep it on the dry side and water at the edge of the pot rather than into the crown, to avoid rot. Remove faded flowers with their stalks to keep new buds coming. The tubers should not be eaten.
