Pansies in a rich, velvety deep orange bring warmth to borders, containers and window boxes through autumn, winter and spring. Pansy 'Matrix Deep Orange' is known for its weather tolerance and long-lasting display of flowers.

These are bushy, compact garden pansies (Viola x wittrockiana) with mid-green, slightly scalloped leaves. They flower for many weeks and carry on in mild winters, so they are a dependable choice for seasonal bedding. Deadhead regularly and they keep producing new blooms.

You receive 18 plants, supplied in 2 plastic trays of 9 cells, with one well-rooted plant in each cell, ready to plant straight into the ground or into containers. Plant them in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained, fertile soil or multi-purpose compost, spaced about 20-25cm apart. They do best in the cooler months, so plant out in early spring or early autumn rather than in the heat of summer.

Water regularly, keeping the compost moist but not waterlogged, and feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks while the plants are growing. The deep orange pairs well with purple, burgundy and yellow in mixed displays.
